Adopting!
It is now official. We have started the process of adopting a little girl from Honduras. We told our friend, who was a missionary from Honduras, that if a child came available; we would be willing to adopt it. Within a couple of days a little two year old girl turned up. A judge found a 2 year old wandering around a crowded market alone. The judge took her into her home. The mother signed abandonment papers for the girl. The mother has mental health issues as well as struggles with alcohol. The judge called the friend of our missionary friend and wanted to know if she knew of a Christian couple willing to take in a child. It didn’t take us long to figure out that God was in this. We have been praying about this for a long time. The time is now here.
