Zack has been selected to play bass on one of the worship teams that is scheduled to lead the prayer meetings on the Peoria mission trip. He is going to play four, two hour sets, along with the early service on Sunday morning. Please pray for this to go well. I haven’t played bass publicly since the Psycho Love Tribe days. I know I will do fine, I just hope I don’t stagedive into the crowd and rip off my shirt! Just kidding. Pray that everyone involved with the trip can connect with God in a deeper and more intimate way.
Congratulations to the Kansas Jayhawks!!! They won the college basketball national championship on Monday night. It has been twenty long years since they have won a title. After many disappointing seasons they have finally brought home the prize. I have to believe that I had a major part in the win. It was the first day of the Global Bridegroom Fast. Although I did not actually pray concerning the game, I believe the Lord gave me nice gift since I am His favorite one! (everyone who is born again is His favorite one!)
By the way I believe that Jace Olson and myself are the only sports fans on the entire IHOP mission base.
In our last newsletter we mentioned the Baker’s. They have an amazing ministry in Africa. Holli and I were mesmerized by their book “More Thank Enough”. It really reminded us of the poverty and suffering in the world. There are numerous testimonies of mass conversions, blind eyes opening, and resurections from the dead. I think it took about a week for both of us to read it. It was soooo good. We would like to make it available as a special gift. If you are interested please let us know and we will get you a copy.
