Healing!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — zackandholli @ 10:41 pm

We had a healing and deliverence siminar last weekend. It was really awesome. God was there and I literally saw a girls arms and legs grow. She had been in two car accidents that had left her in a lot of pain in her back and neck. So much so that she had to quite her job as a police officer. Greame Walsh led the siminar and had the girl hold her arms out straight in front of her. He held a piece of paper flat against her fingers to show that clearly one arm was longer than the other. We began to pray and watched as God lengthened her arms to the same length. He then had her sit down and hold her legs straight out. We could see that her ankle bones were off set. We prayed again and once again God grew her legs out to be the same length. AWESOME. There were several others that received healing that day. What a great way to learn healing and deliverence when God shows you exactly how it is done!

6/27/07 Time in Prayer Room

I am struck by the magnitude of scriptures that warn against deception (a few just in one chapter of Matthew are Matt. 24:5, 10-12, 23-25). Deception is just that, not apparent and obvious, but sly, cunning and so close to the real thing that unless the real thing is truly known the deception will sway and seem true. I can’t believe that the deception that is coming (and really already here) would be something that someone with even an ounce of common sense would just blindly buy into. I think it is going to be, and is, deeply rooted in our churches by slightly being off from the truth of who Jesus is. Slightly off is totally missing it. I have been lured into comfort to believe that Jesus is what I learned in Sunday school, a kind loving Jesus. He is so much more. He is a Lover and a Judge coming to gain a bride and destroy those who do not believe in Him. And that is not even the edge of who He is. We must seek the knowledge of who He is and experience it. It is the experience that will carry us through when we are pressed and when we have seasons in the desert.

Human Trafficing

Filed under: Uncategorized — zackandholli @ 11:32 pm

At the 8pm intercession, and quite a few times recently, the worship teams have been interceding to stop human trafficing. For those who do not know what that is, it is when someone is kidnapped usually a child or teenager, then brought to a foreign country, and made to work as a prostitute. Since they know no one in the country, they are at the mercy of their captors. You may think that this only happens in foreign countries, however it is prevelant in the good ‘ol USA as well. I am always bothered by the thought of this horrible crime, however tonight I could feel a real heaviness, and visualize a little of what these poor people think and feel. Please join us and pray when it comes to mind for justice, and the end to this horrible crime. It is easy to just flip on the TV or listen to the ballgame and forget about this, however Jesus said to mourn with those who mourn. That is becoming more real to me as I am writing this!!!

Afternoon time in prayer room 6/5/07

Filed under: Uncategorized — zackandholli @ 11:31 pm

I will expand more on my time in KC and my class, but here is a little excerpt from my time in the prayer room today:

(Proverbs 2)My hearts cry is to know more of this Man Jesus. God truly is a hidden treasure and must be sought out as precious silver or gold. God is not deeply found in our everyday comfort and mundain things of life. Though not wrong, they will not lead us to the deep things of God. Our weak passing prayers for God to bless our day and help us do what is right will never reveal the beauty of Christ that leads to eternal perserverence and facination. It takes sacrifice, giving up even acceptable things to obtain the One Thing. It is hard to stay focused for extended periods of time, but this is the flesh fighting against what my spirit desires. We can not expect new revelation of God by doing the same things that have not revealed Him in the past. If I want new revelation I must do something new. Do you want more of God or are you satisfied with what you have?

Update on the first 2 weeks in KC

Filed under: Uncategorized — zackandholli @ 10:50 pm

We arrived in Kansas City on Thursday the 24th of May. We did a walkthrough at our new house when we arrived that evening. We were surprised! The owners ad a garage full of stuff they were trying to move out in a little Ryder truck, and te house was full of boxes to be moved. Our closing was suppose to be at 9am the next morning. They said that their movers would be there at 11am the next morning. Our movers were suppose to be there at around 10am. In the back yard they had 6 big 10′X10′ gardening boxes that were suppose to be moved, that were still there.

The next morning we signed the papers. We had our movers delay their arrival until 11:30am. We went to the house at 11am, and were told that their moving company was in a wreck, and that 2 of the movers were in critical condition. They could have another truck there by 1pm. So right on schedule our truck pulls up at 11:30am. So I tell the movers to take a lunch, so they come back at 12:30. At that time our movers start to unload all our stuff into the garage. It was pretty disappointing. The whole point of hiring movers, is that they can move stuff right into your room that you want it in. Anyway about the time my guys are done their movers pull in at about 3:30.

Needless to say the house couldn’t be cleaned by the former owners, because their stuff was in here until the last minute. We spent a week cleaning the house. They must not have touched it since the day we signed the contract. My parents and Gabe came up 2 weekends in a row to help get things in order. They were a great help!

For 2 weeks we have been cleaning, painting and opening boxes. It has been non-stop work. Holli started classes the Monday after we arrived. Her schedule is pretty intense, and it will only increase until August 10.

I can already tell tis is going to be a great experience. I took Maycee and Mick to the prayer room a couple of times, and they LOVE IT!!! One day they danced with the other dancers for about 45 minutes. One morning I was in the prayer room, and the Lord spoke to me a little bit. He impressed upon me what a privlidge this line of work is. He has given us so much grace every step of the way, and that we are truly called here for such a time as this. It is amazing how much He pours out to us with out us even asking. His Goodness truly does shine to the just and the unjust. In just a short amount of time I can see the value of prayer. How amazing is it, that we can have an open dialogue with The Creator Of All Things.

I want to thank our partners prayer and financial for teaming with us to do this. In the natural it looks like we have given everything up, and it kind of felt that way a few months ago, but right now it looks like the payoff will be immense. We pray that you will enjoy the fruits of our ministry. Make your reservations to stay with us, and enjoy the House of Prayer!!!

Staley Cup Update

Filed under: Uncategorized — zackandholli @ 10:21 pm

The Anaheim Ducks have won the 2007 NHL Stanley Cup. In a gritty and tough performance, they dominated the Ottawa Senators. They simply wanted the prize more than Ottawa. The story of the series was the underwhelming performance of Ottawa’s big stars. Aside from Daniel Alfredson, no one showed up for the series. Dany Heatley, Jason Spezza, and Wade Redden were non-existent. That is an understatement. Actually they were horrible and timid!

Anaheim deserves the Cup. In the first period Chris Pronger actually seperated his shoulder, and after popping it back in place played the rest of the game. Scott Neidermeier won the playoff MVP.

That’s it for sports. If you are a sports fan, you need to do yourself a favor and watch the NHL. It is the best sports action out there!!!
